“Code Differences Between the 2015 IPC and 2015 UPC”
Speaker: Melissa Bowers, P.E., CPD – DG Koch and Associates – Phoenix, AZ
Melissa G. Bowers, PE, CPD is a registered mechanical engineer and plumbing project manager as well as local business development manager for the Chandler Arizona offices of DG Koch Associates LLC. She attended the University of Portland (Oregon) and graduated in May 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management. Bowers has been heavily involved in the Phoenix Chapter of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers since March 2008 and has held various chapter offices, including that of a past president and currently as historian and AYP liaison. Melissa serves as a vice president on the Research Foundation of ASPE, and also serves as a member of the ASPE Society Nominating Committee. She served on the 2016 Convention Nominating Planning Committee for ASPE. She has also been featured in Plumbing Engineer as an Engineer in Training. On a sidenote, Melissa is a friend and true supporter of ASPE. When I wanted a presentation on designing or working with the IPC, I thought of Melissa. In Arizona, as a design professional you must know both codes as both are used in the State of Arizona. Melissa is sharp and will be ready for your tough questions.
