ASPE OC General Meeting     May 27, 2009

 

 

The ASPE OC May Technical Meeting began at 6:45PM with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by recognition of guests and self introductions.  Past President Tim Allinson was recognized.  Chris MacKnight gave a Golf Tournament wrap-up and announced this year’s tournament made over $11,000 which will be split with the Los Angeles Chapter.  Chris MacKnight and Jim Weil were presented with the Doc Mayes/Bill Bickle Outstanding Sportsmanship Award for their efforts on the Golf Committee and for sponsoring a combined 37 golfers.

The guest speakers, Lee Clifton the Director of Plumbing Programs and Greg West the Marketing Manager with the International Code Council were introduced and began the technical presentation at 7:00PM.

The speakers were presented with an Appreciation Certificate and dinner was served around 7:45PM.

At 8:20 the Board Elections were conducted by past President Tim Allinson.  The newly elected Chapter Officers are:

President:  Felor Rezayat

Vice President Technical:  Jimmy Baker

Vice President Legislative:  Jeff Reed

Vice President Membership:  Alex Jimenez

Treasurer:  Chris MacKnight

Administrative Secretary:  Ron Magno

Corresponding Secretary:  Jim Weil

 

The Scholarship Committee Chair Tim Allinson presented a $1500 scholarship to Andrew Chiang, a junior engineering student at UCI.

Sergeant of Arms, John Zagorski levied fines followed by the raffle.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:50PM
