About the Presentation:
The presentation will give an overview of the types and applications for pre-action systems and clean agent fire suppression systems.
About the Technical Speakers:
Gregg has been involved in the fire sprinkler industry for the past 30 years. After spending the first part of his career on the contracting side of the fire sprinkler industry, Gregg joined The Viking Corporation. Gregg has represented the Viking Corporation for the past 22 years serving as a Territory Manager and a Technical Representative. Gregg’s responsibilities include the educating both contractors and engineers in California and Nevada on fire sprinkler heads and devices and their application. As the National Technical Representative for Viking the past 12 years, Gregg has been responsible for the training and educating of MEP firms, architects, consulting engineers, Fortune 500 company engineers, fire sprinkler contractors and fire protection authorities throughout the Western region of the United States and Canada. Gregg has conducted training seminars for various fire sprinkler associations and has served as Co-Chairman of the Southern California Chapter of the American Fire Sprinkler Association and has served on the board for the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Fire Protection Engineers for the past five years.
David Olds is the US 3M sales representative for Novec 1230 Fire Protection Fluid. David has been a licensed practicing architect since 1994. As past Vice president of a leading Minnesota Design firm, David has concentrated on municipal and county public building projects with an emphasis on special fire hazards. As LEED project manager and signature architect he recently guided to completion the first LEED (version 2009) Gold municipal building in the nation. He brings that experience and perspective to this month's meeting discussing fire protection solutions in a highly regulated industry, that is, the protection of critical assets with clean extinguishing agents.
