MRC Engineering was established in 1992 and is a small boutique firm in Palm Desert. We are growing and as the business starts to pick up we are seeking a person or persons who are interested in joining our firm. The following outlines the candidates that we hope to attract.

Senior: 10 years of engineering & design experience in the mechanical and plumbing with project experience in medical, commercial and residential. Good communicator Ability to meet with clients and establish project fees Good written and communication skills Leadership qualities Ability to manage a MP projects & staff Experienced with Energy Pro / T24 AutoCAD proficient LEED AP Code knowledgeable PE preferable but not required.

Designer:
5 to 8 years of design experience in the mechanical and plumbing with project experience in medical, commercial and residential
Auto Cad proficient
Good written and communication skills
Code knowledgeable
Willing to learn and grow in the business
Experienced with Energy Pro / T24

Title: Jr. Plumbing Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Company Description:
With the belief that engineering components should enhance the architecture of a building, our client designs mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that are responsive to architectural goals, meet client’s budgets and technical expectations, and achieve additional measures such as energy efficiency, ease of maintenance, and system integration.

The Position
The junior plumbing engineer will assist in the activities on a project under the supervision of a senior level plumbing engineer.
Duties include preparation of plumbing drawings and design for sanitary sewer drainage, storm drainage, special gasses, and water distribution piping systems. Engineering activities include construction specifications, and plumbing systems calculations applying requirements of the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and other building and safety codes.

The ideal candidate will:
• Possess significant ability to use various engineering software programs to determine calculations for given systems.
• Show proficiency in AutoCAD MEP 2010 as well as REVIT (preferred) or similar 3D graphics program.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in plumbing utilizing sustainable systems.
• Must have the ability to follow directions from the Lead and to collaborate with other team members while still being able to work independently when necessary.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Must be able to execute tasks within budget and scope.
